JOINING: Everyone is welcome to join the community. It's an open membership, so you don't have to wait for mod approval. Once you've joined the community, you're free to either post a meme yourself or to poke around and tag the memes that are up. Note: You do not have to join the community in order to tag the memes. However, if you do want to post a meme, you will need to be a member of the community. TAG SYSTEM: Tagging your meme is easy! There are two specifications that you need to make when posting a meme. The type of meme and the general rating of the meme. The tags will follow this format: [type] -- for the type of meme. [rated] -- for the rating of the meme. Memes may fall into more than one type, so feel free to tag the meme for all of the types that apply to it. As for rating, please rate the meme on what it is meant to be, and not on what could happen in the tags that follow. For example, a Fluff Meme would probably be rated PG or PG-13 (for possible language), while an After Sex Fluff Meme might be R or even NC-17. That does not mean every thread in the first meme would be clean or that every thread in the second thread would be dirty, but depending on the likely content, you should give other players an idea of what they should generally expect from your meme. For memes that may be based on RP games, such as an IC anon meme where there are threads for each game, or ship memes where there are threads for games where people can post their ships, we have another tag. When making a meme open for game threads, please tag it with the [RP GAMES] tag. In addition to all of this, we do allow linking to memes outside of the community. If you've posted a meme somewhere you'd like to REPOST IT to ![]() We have a tag system for this as well. When linking to your own meme, outside of the comm but still on Dreamwidth, please use the [link] open meme tag in addition to the other specifications. For memes posted on other journaling sites, we have the [link] dreamwidth, [link] insanejournal, and [link] scribbld tags. For a complete listing of the tags used on the comm, please see our tags post and feel free to ask questions or request additional tags there. GRAPHIC OR POSSIBLY TRIGGERING CONTENT: Some people really enjoy guro or mindfucking and that is perfectly fine! However, not everyone will be comfortable with this type of content. Memes that may tread into questionable areas should be marked as having possibly triggering material, using this tag: [warning] possible triggers Sometimes tags can be easy to miss, so please try to make note of potential triggering content in the meme's description, as well. We leave it to player discretion as to how to word it or where to put it, but please make it easy to read. In cases where the description of the meme is graphic enough to raise eyebrows, please put it under a cut. The name of the meme and accompanying picture (if there is one) may remain outside of the cut, to attract attention. HOW OFTEN MEMES CAN BE POSTED: There is currently no limit to the number of memes which can be posted. All we ask is that you not spam the community. Please allow for a reasonable time between memes to allow them to be used to their full potential. |
